What is a Galleri test and who is it for?
Galleri is a type of cancer detection test that can scan for multiple cancers at a time. With a simple blood draw, the test will look for signals shared across more than 50 types of cancers, many of which are not typically screened for today. The test is offered at our facility which is only a 10 min drive from New Orleans to the Westbank.
Who is Galleri testing for?
- This test is recommended for anyone with a family history of cancer.
- A consulation with a provider is recommended before ordering the test.
- The test is not recommended for anyone that is pregnant, younger than 21 years of age, or undergoing cancer treatment.
